New beginnings!

A new year, a new beginning and a new blog!

Why not. Well in reality I have three blogs now. The first one lays forgotten as I wasn't happy with the direction it was taking, the second one is still around...but...I forgot the details to sign into it.........*cough*
It can be seen, but, it may take a while before I can modify it again. And in truth, I wanted a new one as it felt like the moment.

However! I figured, a whole year has passed, why not refresh things. So I have.

I'm now working at a publishing house I'm quite content with! The work's challenging, the people can be surreal, but it's a new experience and I'm growing from it, so I'm happy.
Tom and I moved flat in the Summer and we now have a delightful new place you can, not only swing one cat, but about 10 if you can fit them in your hand.
It's got space, light, quiet, great transport (unless the bus decides to act up) and lots of room.
We've already hosted a number of gatherings there, something which was inconceivable at the last flat and because of this, social meetings have been on a high.

The last few months, things have been manic, one of the reason my second blog was neglected since June. At work, I've been on courses, been given one of the bigger journals, been going from place to place and trying to get into a strong rhythm of things. I like to think I've been successful so far. But we'll see.

Also - the last few months, we've been working on the latest Purple Theatre play ('Super') written by Phil Burton, Baz Dickinson-Leach and Toby Vennard.
It's been an absolute blast.
The costumes were purchased online then fitted up by our very own costume guru. And looked spectacular on stage.
I ran the publicity for this one and was constantly on the edge of my seat, learning new things and generally getting the word out there.

I like to think I did a good job as there are approx. 158 seats in the theatre and we sold, I believe, near 400, putting us well into profit (I love saying that).

Now it's all over and everyone's recovering from this cold or that illness, but looking forward to the New Year.

2009 will certainly be bringing new beginnings with Tom and I getting married, hopefully Tom moving up in work, and my travelling to America for work.

Yes a lot has changed this last year, and we hope things keep going on the up.

To new beginnings!
